Since the launch of #JalJeevanMission in 2019, the number of cases of water-borne diseases in the country has come down by over 3 times.

#JJM is not just providing tap water connection to rural households, it also making provisions of the same in all Schools & anganwadi centers.

To reduce the vulnerability of children from water-borne diseases, provision of piped water supply has been made in over 8.63 lakh Schools & more than 8.91 lakh in anganwadi centres, so far. The supply of potable water will improve the overall health & development of children.
